Young Scientist Competition in Computer Science and Engineering
Project (YSC.CS & YSC.EN)
The project aims to build and develop science and technology capacity
and standards of Thai secondary students in the country. The activities
urge and support students to perform their abilities in computer
and engineering by submitting their creative projects to the competition.
The qualified students shall be selected as representatives of
Thailand to participate in the Intel International Science and
Engineering Fair, an international competition organized in the
U.S.A.
3.2
NECTEC e-Camp
NECTEC, in association with over 20 leading universities nationwide,
has organized the NECTEC e-Camp Project with the main purpose
of supporting the development of secondary studentsี skills in
designing and assembling electronic circuit. The participating
students will learn basic technology of electronic circuit, and
designing, and some techniques applicable in the real circumstances.
3.3 The National Software Contest
To support and facilitate software development among the new generation
in Thailand, NECTEC creates a project aimed to build studentsี
skills and practices in computer software applications and development.
This is also to inspire and encourage students to become professional
researchers in the future.
3.4
NECTEC Linux Installation Competition
NECTEC Linux Installation Competition was initially arranged by
NECTEC in 2001. Its objectives are to enhance knowledge on Linux
installation and implementation at a low cost, as well as to set
a stage for testing and developing knowledge of Linux program,
server technology, and installation methods for secondary students
and also general public.
